This is a wonderful pose for capturing the serenity of those early days. If the light is soft and diffused, we can even try a backlit version of this pose, which creates a dreamy, glowing effect around you and your baby.

The parent cradles the baby in their arms, with the baby’s head resting gently in the crook of their arm or in their hands in extended arms. This is actually an illusion, baby is posed laying on a soft beanbag and the parent wraps their arms around to look like they are suspended.

This pose allows for close-up shots, focusing on the baby’s tiny features while also highlighting the loving embrace of the parent.

  • It’s a simple, yet powerful pose that feels so natural, and it’s perfect for capturing that “first family portrait” moment.

This pose works beautifully for both color and black-and-white images and is a great way to focus on the parent-baby bond.
