Photographing Triplets: A Dream Session with Raven, Logan, and Daisy
As a photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing so many wonderful families and milestones, but photographing triplets—especially the gorgeous Raven, Logan, and Daisy—was a moment I’ll never forget. As someone who’s always been fascinated by twins and multiples, getting the chance to photograph three babies at once was an absolute dream come true!
A Dream Come True for Any Photographer Who Loves Multiples
There's something incredibly special about multiples—whether it’s twins, triplets, or more. The connection between siblings is undeniable, and capturing that bond in photographs is always an incredible experience. But when you’re photographing triplets? Well, that’s a whole other level of joy! From the very beginning of the session, I knew this would be a unique and rewarding experience. Every moment, every pose, and every tiny detail felt like a gift.
A Long but Amazing Session
The session with Raven, Logan, and Daisy was an all-day affair—but it was totally worth it! Photographing triplets takes time and patience, and as any photographer will tell you, it requires a bit more flexibility than a typical newborn session. But despite the long hours, I can tell you mom and dad enjoyed their session and I had SO much fun! I could honestly have done 5 more sessions just for fun.
Amy and Harv: Incredible Parents
What truly made this session so special was the amazing parents of Raven, Logan, and Daisy—Amy and Harv. From the moment they walked into the studio, I was in awe of their calm demeanor and the effortless way they handled their triplets. They were both so incredibly patient, kind, and relaxed—qualities that made my job so much easier.
They were in sync with each other and incredibly "go with the flow" when it came to managing their babies. Honestly, I couldn’t help but think that Amy and Harv handled their three babies with more ease than I did my own singleton baby. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of experience and parental instinct. They navigated every moment of the session with grace, and their connection as a family was nothing short of inspiring.
My Amazing Assistant Michelle
It’s rare to find an assistant who is as in tune with the needs of a newborn session as my wonderful assistant Michelle. For this session, Michelle’s help was absolutely invaluable. We worked together to pose the babies into a variety of setups and positions, keeping them comfortable and relaxed while capturing those sweet moments that parents will cherish forever.
We started with simple poses, carefully arranging the babies in a way that highlighted their tiny details—hands wrapped around fingers, soft cheeks pressed together, and the peaceful calm that only a newborn can possess. Michelle’s experience with newborns was vital in helping us move smoothly through the session, especially when it came to posing all three babies at once.
The Power of Triplet Photography
When photographing multiples, the connection between the babies is so evident. Even in their first few weeks of life, there’s a bond that goes beyond the physical. I couldn’t help but marvel at the way Raven, Logan, and Daisy responded to one another. There were moments when they naturally sought out each other, curled up together, or even held hands while sleeping. As I captured these moments, it was clear that this family is one of a kind. Their love and devotion to one another already shine brightly, and I have no doubt that this bond will continue to grow throughout their lives.
Final Thoughts
Photographing triplets is no small feat, but the reward is immeasurable. This session with Raven, Logan, and Daisy will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I’m so thankful to have been able to document such a beautiful family. Every moment—from the gentle moments of snuggling to the wide-eyed curiosity of the babies—felt like a true privilege.
