Jesse’s Newborn Mini Session – 2 Months New and Full of Personality
When Raven reached out about newborn photos for her baby Jesse, he was already two months old—and I was thrilled to let her know it wasn’t too late! While many families book newborn sessions in the first few weeks, it’s absolutely possible to capture beautiful portraits of your baby a little later on. That’s where my mini newborn sessions really shine.
Jesse’s session was such a joy. At two months old, he was alert, expressive, and full of charm. We started with two cozy prop setups while he was swaddled, which helped him feel secure and calm. His gorgeous eyes were wide open for much of the session, allowing us to document that sweet, curious gaze that’s so special at this age.

Then, something magical happened—Jesse dozed off just long enough for us to gently position him for a beanbag pose. These soft, sleepy shots are often hard to get with older newborns, but Jesse made it possible, and I’m so glad we captured one of those dreamy moments.
Mini newborn sessions are perfect for families looking for a shorter, weekday experience focused entirely on baby. They're one hour long, and typically feature wrapped poses, which are ideal for comfort and soothing. And even at 6, 7, or 8 weeks old, we can still create a gorgeous gallery that feels just as timeless and meaningful.

I’m so grateful Raven trusted me to photograph her sweet boy. Jesse’s images are filled with warmth, personality, and love—and I know these memories will only grow more valuable as he does.
If you missed those early newborn weeks, don’t worry—it’s not too late. Let’s create something beautiful, just like we did for Jesse.
