A family session video to capture the emotion of your family bond
The Multani Family Session
Blended Video & Photography at Redwood Park
By Elizabeth Lang Photography
Some sessions stay with you long after the last photo is edited—and the Multani Family session was definitely one of them.
We met on a golden evening at Redwood Park, one of my favorite spots for families who love nature. We started our adventure in the forest, surrounded by those towering trees and soft trails, and ended in the open grassy fields where the light seemed to wrap around everything just right. It was peaceful, playful, and full of love—the kind of setting that allows a family’s real connection to shine through.
But what made this session extra special was that it wasn’t just still images—I also created a short family film to go alongside their photos. It’s a new offering I’ve started, blending photography with video to bring even more feeling to your memories. Because sometimes, movement speaks in a way stills just can’t.

Why Video is So Special
There are moments in family life that are so full of emotion, movement, and subtle connection that a still photo can only tell part of the story. That’s where video steps in—it brings those memories to life in a way that’s deeply real and incredibly moving.
Zoya learning to stand
Zoya was right at that beautifully wobbly stage—those first determined pulls to stand, the proud little smile, the way she’d topple into her parents’ arms with a giggle. In a photograph, you can see the pride. But in the video, you feel it—you hear her laugh, see her wobble, and watch her parents cheer her on. It’s a fleeting moment, but now her family can relive it forever.
Zara’s silly, sweet energy
Zara’s personality shone through in every frame—twirling through the fields, making up games, and giggling nonstop. She’s at that in-between age, full of independence but still wanting to be carried, to feel held. With video, you see the way she wraps her arms around her mom’s neck, the playful spark in her eyes, the way she leans into Dad. It’s these movements, these tiny transitions, that video captures so beautifully.
The love that started it all
Between the laughter and the chaos, there’s this quiet, steady love holding it all together. Watching Mom and Dad look at each other, laugh at an inside joke, or reach for each other’s hands—those moments don’t always stand still for the camera. But in video, they become part of the story. Soft, unspoken moments that show what a solid, loving partnership really looks like.

This session reminded me why I started offering video alongside photography. A photo freezes a moment, but a video brings it to life. The sound of laughter, the way your child’s hair moves in the wind, the subtle look between parents—that’s the kind of storytelling that becomes a true family heirloom.
To the Multani family—thank you for trusting me to capture this moment in your journey. Your love and light are such a gift.
